I have an ej20g motor I just bought that I'm told is from an early Liberty turbo. It comes with the black AWIC, was bolted to an automatic tranny, and didn't have any stickers with the engine code or anything.

I was looking at this website (http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~1amiga/ej2o.htm) , and I think that it is either the 220ps or the 200ps. One difference between the two was the size of the turbo. the 220ps had 10 fins on the cold side and 10 fins on the hot side, making it a VF-11 or 12, and the 200ps had 9 fins on the cold side, and 10 fins on the hot side making it a vf-10 i believe.

So i checked my motor and saw that it had 10 fins on the cold side, and 10 fins on the hot side, making this motor the 220ps version ej20g. But what gets me is at the bottom of the website, which says that the 220ps version only came with a manual transmission and my motor was clearly mated to an auto tranny.

So I need help finding out what version ej20g I have. Can anybody help me out?

That engine is from a 1992-94 Legacy turbo. The black AWIC tells me the year range. It is 200ps because it is an auto. If you check the plate on the front of the turbo, it should say that it is a VF-10...

So are you saying that my motor is from the USDM 92-94 legacy turbo? The 2.2L?
