Just wondering what kind of resale values will I get for my MY95 L if I swapped out the EJ18 from there for a EJ22T.

Will I be able to get a market value (KBB, Edmunds or whatever) price for the car (with options listed as a EJ18)? My main concern is not to lose any money on the car itself. Getting the money back for the swap and mods is secondary.

What you guys think?

Generally, modded cars unless tastefully done, lose resale value simply because of the perception that if the guy has done that much work to a car, then it must have been hammered on.

Having said that, my last two cars actually were MORE valuable to the dealer (I generally trade) because of mods I had done, because they were right for the car, and performance only, that is, brakes and suspension.

But with something as extensive as what you're contemplating, you'd be forced to find someone as devoted as yourself to sell the car to. Hope that helps.
