I mean all the latest one's are in it, including the current Spec C, but nothing with the new grille or anything of that sort. I was hoping it would, as they have some concepts for other companies. I'm hoping it may be one of the cars to unlock later.

In other news, the game overall has amazing graphics and I can't wait to try it out more.

also, a little clue on how to get a **** load of money. Get a civic type r hatch to begin with, and win the second honda challenge. Get gold in all challenges and you get a car thats worth 95,000 credits. You can sell the car clear the races and win it again. Over and over.

Why not win the first Japan cup (5 races) and get a car valued at $300,000+?? You can make a lot more money alot faster.

Just win the 2 Costa Amalfi (sp?) races in the Special Conditions (Rally) area. It's 2 races that are 2 laps each. You win the Toyota RSC Rally Raid car that is sellable for about 250,000.

Older GT's (GT2, if i remember right) had the SVX, and also the XT4 or XT6 (i believe both were called Alcyone's in the game)

I opted to start from scratch. I only have my B license and have only won the Sunday cup beginners races, with my used Supra twin turbo. Is the japan cup races hard? Will I need a highly moddified car?

I decided to get an M3 CSL when I had the cash....and glad I did. It just plain outhandles the Spec-c, even with stock suspension. Slap on exhaust and race tires, win the German "M" race, and get the spec edition M3 GTR.

There are TONS of different cars in the used section. I know the 22B is in there somewhere and other various v5 v6 STis. Cool stuff.

it is not from GT4 but check ou this uimpreza from WRC3. WRC3 is the game that has pics of what a lot of people think will be the 2007 STi, But it also hjas some wierd crap too. well, apparantly the game makers had the car companies create designs and concepts for the game....like this one....

Kind of lacks depth in my opinion. I wish GT4 had given us some older model Subys such as Legacy Turbo, XT6, RX, SVX, maybe a Forester STi, B9, I mean, there's alot of nice Subarus that have been left out. Thing is, Forza Motorsport (for Xbox) won't do much better, altough they will have a 1999 2.5RS and a 2004 USDM STi. Anyway, hope that helps the curiousity.

Tell the guy to hook up a fellow Sony employee and fellow Subaru owner by making a stinking download patch that will put some new WRX's in the game. I think it's pretty sorrowful that they left out a regular ol' '04 WRX (something which a lot of driving enthusiasts who may actually play this game own). They didn't mind putting about 6 dozen cars that have less than 70hp, but no '04 WRX? Is this a racing game or not??? :mad:

Yea I dont really like how they left out a bunch of major performance vehicles, yet took the time to program in a Honda Oddessey (van), Toyota prius, etc.

Maybe the PSP version? Should be out in Spring '05 if all goes according to plan...

In all honesty, I am in internal development finishing up my own project. GT4 was an external title, and my discussions with the producer are pretty casual. The developer also has a big say in this franchise.

Change your oil. As you race the car, your HP rating goes down.


And for you guys that bought Subarus and can't make them handle, take this advice: Buy a VCD, set it on 10% front. Buy a fully customizable suspension and set the rear stabilizer to 7, the front to 1. And raise the spring rate to around 12 in the front and 10 in the rear. My Prodive STi handles like a beast.


Still doesn't come close to my modified M3 GTR, but it's pretty damn good.

Yes, a wing helps. You will need to turn up the downforce manually in the Settings menu, it defaults to Zero.

You can transfer 100k credits from GT3 if you played it along with A & B licenses. Gives you a much better price range to find that first car.

It used to, 'til I played with the settings:

Stiffness - F:12.8 R:12.6
Shock (Bound) - F:9 R:9
Shock (Rebound) - F:7 R:7


If it still bounces, lower the rebound but keep the bound at 9. And a wing will help it stabilize at higher speeds so you don't go flying off the track.

I cant believe how fast these cars are in this game. They make my 1082hp tvr speed 12 look slow in the 1/4. GT makers must love these scoobies! im 33% done and cannot remove myself from the tv :(

What do you mean by clear the races?

He means that after you finish the races you can do them again, clear your history, but keep the car and credits you won, and do them again to win the same stuff.

how do u get ur top speeds so high? i have 506hp but my top speed is like 180 and i have maxed out everything on my sti spec c.

changing your gearing will change your top speed.

Lower the car, wash it, and get rid of any downforce will also help.

also, the definitive easy money maker:

It only takes one race, 3 laps, of the shortest circuit in the game, and wins 105k

Intermediate Tsukuba wet, use any capable 4wd over 300 hp, easy win.

rinse, repeat. you can make a mil in less than a half hour.

this game rocks, its all ill be doing spring break..

I just got the Cusco Impreza and I love it. The best part is you can still upgrade the turbo and alomst double the horsepower it comes with. :banana: Ohh and the 300Z LM concept is ridicoulous at only 500 hp, if there is a car that handles better than that one let me know.

How can you do this. I thought I was doing it when I first started the game it then I didn't. It's hard for me to read the text explaining what to do in the game cuz I play it on a 1981 sony tv.

Its one of the options at the "home" menu.....I think if you click the status thing inside home it will let you.

Yeah...Home-->Status-->push Start. It will ask if you want to transfer liscenses, then money...but it will only do it once per User Created (which is another way to cheat some money, if you have the time to sit there and sell yourself cars at a cheaper price all day. Easier just to win races.)

You think that Elise handles nice? Try the Formula Gran Turismo 04. Ive got one with a semi Williams paint scheme, wow, that thing makes you relearn how to drive.

yeah i would have also liked to see more selection with subies, but hell they have sooooooooooooo much more cars out there as well to chose from.

The Gran Turismo series was never known for its realism. I don't know about you, but if I were to crash into a wall at 150mph my car wouldn't be unscathed.

probably the most fun thing to do in this game is get a bug eyed sti wagon. Bring the HP to 350 or so. Put on R3 slicks. A full customizable suspension with rear stabilizer bar at max. then take it to apricot hill raceway and do 10 laps. I've never had more fun drifting a car around corners.

And they'll be in a proprietary "non crackable" (for the first 24 hours they are released) "trianglular disc" format that you'll need to buy a special drive to be able to read them ;)

I'm currently 83.7% finished, basically all I have to do is do a couple more Special Condition events, Extreme Events, and Endurance events. Except for the Shelby Cobra event, I have all the One-Make stuff done.

I have over 200 cars, I have over $1 million, and I am the RingMaster (for iA-license, my Ring time was 8:58, with gold being 9:02, and for the Super-license, my Ring time was 7:05, with gold being 7:07).

Sure the physics aren't 100% accurate (like other racing games are :rolleyes: ), and there's no damage, but who cares? Is there any other racing game where you can switch from a 15hp Subaru 360 to a 1000hp Suzuki rally car with the push of a button? I didn't think so.

I unlocked a orange coloured bugeye impreza with a wide body racing kit on it. I put a stage 4 turbo and racing intercooler... boosted that power to 500+ HP

What I find interesting is the 2002 STi has the large spoiler but the 2004 STi has the WRX spoiler...

My best quarter mile time with my 02 STi was in the low 8 seconds. I also had NOS turned up pretty high.
