View Full Version : I need of a part or two (Pretty Baddly)!
Crazy_Legz 02-26-2005, 04:50 AM I am in need of a Metallic Silver 01G 2002 Subaru Impreza Sedan Driver Side Fender (The Color isnt THAT IMPORTANT, Can always get it repainted). But anyway, post me if anyone knows of any... PLZ I AM BEGGING :(!
I also need a new bumper beam if anyone has any. It really doesnt matter about this part so much, I can always fix mine still, but just easier to buy one.
Crazy_Legz 02-26-2005, 05:02 AM I want to be able ro go to this months meet but I dont really want to show up with a damaged fender. Hurts my pride too much :(!
SparkysJDMSpeedWagon 02-26-2005, 05:11 AM Brian (MGAMAN) showed up with his rally damage at last April's meet:

So don't even think of using a dent or ding as an excuse to miss a meet ;)
Crazy_Legz 02-26-2005, 05:17 AM LOL, his fender looks identical to mine and its damage just mine is on the other side. But I also have a silver wrx but a WRB bumper . I got to get it painted sometime soon-ish.
02-elite-gettingwrx 02-26-2005, 05:26 AM dude his fender has been like that for as long as i've known him
Crazy_Legz 02-26-2005, 05:41 AM Why doesnt he want to get it fixed though? Anyway, I am try to get mine fixed.
Einsti3n 02-26-2005, 07:04 AM hes slowly been fixing that car part by part, the entire front end was messed up when i met him, good stuff Brian :) glad to see it still has character. (by the way fool you never called back brian:P)
00Maddog 02-27-2005, 10:57 PM i saw you peeping at the rally today...
eurojax 02-27-2005, 11:57 PM Yeah, nice taillights :)
Crazy_Legz 03-02-2005, 02:21 PM Lol, thanks for the tail light comment. I just really didnt like my stock ones, the previous owner had it chipped on the left one, so instead of spead money to buy stock ones, I just decided to buy those ones. They look really nice on the car when it is clean. 00Maddog and Eurojax where you both in the rally or watching, which car was yours and what is your real name? I feel so special that I was noticed, lol .
Which one of you was hanging out with Mike at turn #1 that was really tall. I so wished I signed up because I think I could have done pretty damn well. I got bored just sitting there and watching the rally and wishing I signed up. I didnt think that it was that good of the rally, at least for it being in the winter. I cannot say too much seeing as I wasnt in it and didnt know what the track condition was exactly, but I noticed that not many of the people know how to shift and transfer the weight from front to rear and left to right correctly. Some didnt even transfer the weight at all and would understeer a lot. Like the 2 corners after the long turn that made you head back thought the coarse in reverse, people could have shifted the weight though the first and feint drifted into the second. I was doing that at Chugiak High School parking lot the day before the rally. That exact setup of those 2 corners, but also the road condition was probably a little different.
Did anyone think that the 2 White STi's didnt do as good as they thought they could do? I have never seen or drove one in the rally tracks but I thought they would have dominated with their DCCD, but they didnt do the best.
I loved seeing the Legacy GT Wagon do the track, that was so funny to see a wagon do that. He was able to control that thing pretty damn good. I was very impressed with it.
I left before I could see Mike go and I wished I stayed, but I didnt even know if he was driving in it. I thought he didnt have his Yellow WRX (Now an STi) up and running yet.
Well, I got to go because I am in my KCC and need to get back to work. So Cya all later.
I am signing up next year for sure.
Oh, and my friend who was with me wants to know what exhaust system the red 05 WRX was using because he loved the way it sounded.

2002 Subaru WRX (Metallic Silver) lol, with a blue front bumper for now!
Need Money 03-02-2005, 02:59 PM Yeah man you called me up acouple times but I was working the corner and couldn't answer my phone. Sorry, haha my car still isn't up, but I was driving squad907's white sti, I was out there having fun didn't care about my times too much, getting my $125 worth. Never really driven an sti before like that, so it was good practice. Boy do I miss manual transmission.
Need Money 03-02-2005, 03:01 PM oh btw............the tall guy working the corner with me was Kris aka rallyx13
cooparu 03-02-2005, 03:31 PM Legz,
Next Rallycross is in a month, bring it. :)
I hear what you're saying about weight transfer, and such, and I too can bust out some sweet moves in a parking lot (every morning on my way to work). I can't speak for all, but people have different car setups, and different goals for the rally-x.
My car's stock. It understeers like mad, and on the day's conditions, the understeer got worse for me. The tight s-curves you mentioned didn't get that bad throughout the day, but still they were tight. I chose not to e-brake, and I also have a wimpier awd system than a wrx. Getting the rear end to kick around can be tricky, so I just tried to get through those curves without going too wide. My car acted like a FWD in that section, and yes, I know I can improve my driving skills in situations like this. It's all a learning process, and a blast.
I love watching the Legacy GT wagon do it's thing, but, I really can't replicate those moves. I just try to remain controlled, and get through the course as smoothly and quickly as I can. I'd like to get more slidewayz, but it's all just a matter of feeling out my car's capabilities still.
I realize not everyone is out for the quickest time, but I feel for me to come in 6th out of 25, with a stock 2.2, ain't all that bad.
Sorry for the rant.
See you at the next Rallycross? :disco:

2nd over all and first in class isn't doing good i guess!
00Maddog 03-02-2005, 06:34 PM I was unable to e-brake also, as the first few times it worked but on the slow stuff the viscous was too tight (or maybe even locked from heat) and all four wheels would slide. that didn't help the horrible understeer my car shares with most non dccd subies. I saw a couple of good dccd e-brakes from corner 3, by kris i think, whoever ran squad's car in the second run group, but for the most part the corners were too slow to e-brake. I succesfully left-foot braked at corner 4 a couple times, that really works well if you get it right. Need much more pratice. The course looks easy, but it is a lot more challenging than it looks. Legz, you should start in the next rally april 2nd to prepare yourself for next year!! worth every penny, trust me. My exhaust is all invidia, a little loud for a daily driver though.

Are you sure that it was squad907's sti w/big wing that you are referring to?
Kris ran kappa's car in the second group. I wouldn't be surprised if it was kappas that you were thinking about, rallyx13 can DRIVE :D
JordyB 03-03-2005, 12:13 AM I had some heel-toe action to keep the boost up with the ebrake pumping to get the ass end to come around. Worked pretty good until I had to much understeer and had to pull back into the corner and slow down but that only happen a few times.
RallyX13 03-03-2005, 01:20 AM Yeah I was using the e-brake, until I started playing with the DCCD more. Last two runs I found a setting I liked, but man that course was iceeee!! :D
KapaFool 03-03-2005, 01:58 AM I can't drive worth a damn anyways so don't blame my car. Had fun anyways and I should have got some sort of recognition for most cones bashed.
eurojax 03-03-2005, 12:09 PM I was the king of e-brake with my little duct tape set up :D
I thought I was going to pull the lever off I was pulling so hard.
Crazy_Legz 03-03-2005, 02:34 PM This is to AKOBS and Squad_907
Oh no, dont get the wrong ideas of me. Ha, I dont want you guys to think of me as a jackass. Like I said before, I was just saying what I saw happening at 1:00PM. I know that the track got icier through the day and I still didnt know the traction condition of the track, because I wasn't in it :(. Don't think that I am saying that I can do better. The track was tight and I was more of trying to understand if you could shift the weight to feint drift through corner #4 and #5. Squad_907, good job getting 2nd, I don't think I saw you do the track more than twice. Which White STi where you in, the one with the STi spoiler or the STi with the WRX looking spoiler? Also don't think that I am say that you are not good. Lol, you will find this funny, it is just that I am so use to playing rally games with the STi dominating so I get the false expectation of the stock STi needing to perform like the WRC ( DAMN GT4  ). I have only been ice and dirt rallying not even a year yet, so I would be a fool to say that I am better than you guys. So ya anyways people, if you read the last tread I wrote and you were in the rally, don't think that I am talking about you. Most of the people I didnt get to even see because I had to take my friend home.
And for the April Rally, I have some questions:
#1 Do you think it will be pavement, ice, or dirt rally?
#2 How much is it going to cost?
#3 What are the requirements (helmet... etc)?
#4 Who is putting this on (Company wise or sponsor)?
I dont know if I will be able to go but I will try. I am kind of short because I am trying to fix my car. But I will post if I sign up.
LOL, you all know that this tread started off with me just asking about so info about a fender I need. A long way off topic this has gone.

1)dirt/mud would be my guess
2)$70-80
3)pretty much just a helmet and car that runs and won't fall apart to much
4)the event is a scca event (pretty much all of them are)
cooparu 03-03-2005, 04:01 PM Legz, no worries. Just giving my 2 cents as well. :)
I say do the rallycross before doing the bodywork on your car, in case something does fall off. :p
Haven't the previous non-Rondy rallies been closer to 40-50 bucks?
And, loaner helmets are available.
Muddy would be nice. :disco:
