im not sure if this should be in turbo or general soooo

i was wondering if i were to buy a turbo kit should i buy one from a vendor new or get one from someone on the private classifieds here?

what experiences have some of you had with buying stuff from the private classifieds off this site...good/bad?

for used would 5k or 10k miles on turbo parts put to much wear on them or would they still be fine?

lots of people here play fair with the classifieds, BUT make SURE you know who you're dealing with!!! There are some cons who weasel their way in here from time to time, but if you do a search and check out the person's history, that should tell you a lot about them (as long as they have a history. :confused: if not... Use Caution!.) Some times though, even if someone does have good intentions, things come up and the mail might not get out exactly on time. :rolleyes: If you feel uneasy at all, see if you can set up some kind of ensured payment. (COD or something maybe?)

about the turbo part of your question.... can't help you there... I'm actually wondering the same myself. If you don't get any help here, definitely try the turbo forum. With all the ranges of opinions here I'm sure someone will be willing to share theirs.

Word of advice I know this from experience. Take a look at the kit before you buy it. make sure the kit was constructed well and make sure you know exactally what he is giving you too and talk to the person taking it off about getting all fo the "small" parts. My first kit I got was used and now the only good thing that came out of it was a tial waste gate. They broke the pipes while taking it out, the welds are going to crack probably with in the next couple hundred miles. I would just spend the extra to make sure its done right the first time.
