I'm new to the Subaru world and have a question. Other than some trim and rear disc brakes, what is the difference between the RS and TS models. I suspect it is more attitude than anything else.

Kostamojen 07-18-2001, 04:50 AM Suspensions different (springs, shocks, and sway bars), only 15" rims w/ hubcaps, no cruise control, less-sporty/abrasive seats, no leather wheel or shifter, interior color of course, TS is heavier of course, and... Its a wagon! :p juice 07-18-2001, 10:15 AM Also the RS has the wider fender flares to accomodate a wider track. Oh, and $1500. -juice fungo phil 07-18-2001, 01:13 PM Thanks, I didn't realise there was that much difference. Oh well I love the little TS anyway.:p I wanted something for the highway and at my age I'm beginning to need a little more comfort rather than outright performance. With the manual transmission and the 2.5 liter engine it seem to get around with some authority as it is. The only plans I have for it are to upgade to alloy wheels in either 16 or 17 inch. Do I sacrifice a lot of ride if I go to the 17s? Dissenter 07-18-2001, 01:45 PM You'll notice the change, but then again you can change the struts/springs to conteract that to a point, but that might be a bit more than you were planning on changing. Watch yourself here or you'll be modifying everything! :D |
