I went over to Folsom lake State park today just to waste some time...

And you can drive right down to the shore-line in some nice sand right now! :D (drove around in the legacy across practially the whole shore line in the park, tehe)

I was standing out there on the beach and turned around and said "wow, this would be a cool place for a meet!"

Anyway, since its down to only $3 for a day, its not bad... but of course, no doughnuts in the sand or the rangers will get you! :p But you can still drive all over the place around there, fun as heck!

BUT, weekends are a BAD BAD BAD time to go... Today there was like nobody there (relatively... even less during the fall/winter months) and theres no room for anything on the weekends (which is when I know most of you are off)

Just a thought...

P.S. Webshots is down! I cant get my Sac-meet pics posted :(

You mean pictures of my engine bay of "valdez" proportions  . I lost about 1/2 a quart of mobil 1's finest synthetic of course an oil spill never looked so clean. Definetly freaked me out the last 2 runs as I still ran a consistent 1:00 (minus that 29 sec run we all were smoking on  )

On a side note I am considering a run on Saturday to the Recycler if anyone is interested post here so we can meet up.

You probably passed right by it on your way back to Hwy 50. It is the street right past Recycle Rd. and Sunrise Blvd. You probalby saw the Mitsubishi & Saturn parts sign, it is right next to that.

So anyone....

Mojo, doesn't sound like a bad idea but like you said everyone is off on the weekends, not weekdays... Maybe a good idea for the off season?

Senior Valdez!
Glad to hear your engine didn't fall apart... You could still see the leak on the grid Sunday (hehehe).
Good news about rear studs though... Called Maita Monday morning, my service rep asked the guys in the bay if it could be done without replacing the bearings, or repressing them either... According to them Yes, there is JUST enough room to, but be careful... So I set out to do it... Well come to find out there is plenty of room, right after you completely remove the entire drum brake assembly... (WARNING: Do not try this unless you are sure you can reassemble your brake system, as you won't be driving very far without it!!! And paying someone to come to you to fix it could be costly!!!) Anyway after all that crap is gone there is plenty of room... Knock it out, then use the bolt/washer/lug method as there is NO room to knock in the new one...

Hehe, Ya, that oil leak looked more like your window washer fluid was leaking it was so clean! :D

Anyway, it might be a better idea for the off-season... maybe on some abnormal hot day during the fall???
