MAN! I got friggin pulled over on the way home from SF by Union City PD......I wasnt speeding or anything....
They pulled me over for having something obstructing my view (i.e. cell phone earpiece hangin from the rear view mirror flipper switch) but didnt tell me this til after he asked me to pop my hood and take a peek underneath...
My RS only has the Brospeed exhaust (which isnt even loud... =/) and painted bumper vents... its a sedan... stock wing and still the guy was a prick... why pop the hood???
I guess those Obstruction of views can extend to underneath the hood... what do I know? :rolleyes:
But didnt get a ticket cuz ... my car is effectively stock!!! Cops are lame sometimes....:rolleyes:

You can refuse to open the hood by politly asking the officer why you were pulled over.

He should be able to justify what made him think that he had probable cause to 1)pull you over and 2) why you should open your hood or any other part of the car.

If you do get towed, then he has to explain it to the judge after you file the discrimination lawsuit.
