I'm a new member of NASIOC, I've been trolling for a while now, and finally was able to create an account today...

Just purchased a high mileage 2002 Impreza 2.5 RS from a local Subaru dealer - it has just over 92K miles on it, but is still very tight and a great car to drive. My question is, is there anything that I should check or be aware of maintenance wise?

I realize that I have a timing belt job coming up soon, and am getting ready to do a tuneup (oil change, plugs, and new air filter). Also am doing a brake job soon because the rotors are warped and the oem pads are awful (just got a set of Brembo blanks for the front and Hawk HPS's for all around that I need to install). Am I missing anything? I did just order the Factory Service Manual on CD-Rom, waiting for that to arrive...

Why? It only cost $10 on eBay...

Guess I got ripped - so is my only other option to buy the $300+ factory manual from Subaru?

I don't really feel like getting the $20 subscription and having to download 8,000 individual PDF's... :rolleyes:
