can i do this? im assuming everything would bolt up...
list of main parts i think i will need
2.5rs engine/tranny/axles
2.5rs frotn suspension
2.5rs rear suspension
2.5rs rear axles/diff
2.5rs driveshaft
2.5rs wiring harness/ecu
has anyone done this? what would be the best way to go about getting all these parts? thanks for the help.

Take a look around in the stickys for this forum. The process is pretty well documented. If they info in the stickys aren't enough, a search should bring up many hits on this.
It all works and it's not too hard, just no fun going from FWD to AWD.

I did the awd swap and you'll need an AWD gas tank if your intrested I have a whole RS drivetrain for you if you want rear disc brakes 4.11 final drive lsd

HAHA give up on the Duratec engine swap?? An AWD swap is much easier if you have a donor car. Where do you plan to get all the parts needed? I would sell that FWD car and get a 95 AWD. Then if you still want 20 extra hp you can do the 2.5l swap.

i asked about this cause there is a local 93 impreza l for $600

Right now on ebay there are 3 AWD Impreza's under $500. They prolly wont go over $1000. You wont be able to do an AWD swap for $400.

yeah true, i looked in autotrader, but nothing local
not worth driving to/shipping a $1000 car though
