My guess is that the wiring harness in a 2000 impreza L is the same as the one in a 2000 2.5RS? Just want to make sure.

If I'm going to do the engine swap, which manuals do I need? I know I can get them here. http://www.subaruwrxparts.com/gc8-interior.html

Here's the list

General Info. $15.60
Mech./Function $39.94
Engine $46.63
Fuel/OBD-II $42.57
Transmission $34.90
Mechanical $42.77
Body/Electrical $35.01
Wiring Diagrams $10.86

The last one is obvious, but should I get the body electrical one too? Isn't there a site where you can just download all the manuals?

The engine harness plugs are slightly different for a couple of the sensors and possibly for the ECU. The 4EAT harness is the same though.

My GF's '99 2.2 looks like a MAP to me. I'm pretty sure they were definitely MAP in '00.

the 2000 wiring manual lists the two engines seperately. The idle speed control at least is different and there is an "air assist solenoid valve" on the 2.5L that is not on the 2.2. I'm not sure what else is different. The 2.2 is also MAP based.
