Hello All,

I wanted to chime in here...

I had ordered a part from Stephen at IA Perfomance and it turned out that the one he thought had been shipped was not what was correct as to what was advertised.

I wrote Stephen letting him know of this problems and I was waiting for the typical, "well, you have it so deal with it routine" or the complete lack of responsiveness that many seller's have.

To my suprise I got a the COMPLETE opposite. Stephen was EXTREMELY responsive and EXTREMELY concerned about the issue. He gave me a full refund and did not even give me any sort of run around I have heard many other people having to deal with.

I have been buying on the internet since 1998 and I have dealt with all kinds of vendors. I must say Stephen's response, concern, and quick action easily sits in the top 5% of my best experiences.

Hats off to Stephen... great vendor to deal with and a good person.

I ordered a Twin scroll kit and it arrived with two 50 gallon bags worth of punuts! Everything was nicely packed and wraped. Few days later I ordered a ABS pump, that I needed FAST and told him to send it out as soon as he could and send it fast. It was thursday I think when I called and orderd the used part. A Box from USPS arrived today and inside again is a heap load of penuts and a pump neatley wraped with foam on both ends:disco: Wasn't expecting the ABS unit until Tuesday but hey now I have a reason to skip work.

;)

Thanks, keep up the great work!!

Just ordered from Stephen and have sent several emails with questions relating to speaker installs. All have been answered quickly, sometimes within minutes! Very helpful vendor and if the adapter rings are half as good as the customer service, I'll be set!

Thanks www.iaperformance.com! Highly recommended.

Yea i bought an OBD relocater kit (which ironically i never used, lol) but it came in no time at all. It was much more of a "kit" than i pictured. Hell it had instructions which is more than i can say for every thing else i've bought. Not only that but i asked a few questions about his tranny swap into the wagon as i had a gc8 which was similiar. My questions were answered very quickly but most importantly they were thoughtfully answered. You could tell he took the time to read and understand my question and answer it fully. It's alot better than a "blanket" answer that is all too common with many vendors. Unfortunetly i haven't had the need to buy more stuff, but hope to have the chance in the future.

I've never evevn bought anything from IAPerformance, but I e-mailed Stephen to ask him about swapping JDM drivetrains into Wagons. He was polite and helpful, though he knew who was getting the sale and that it wasn't him.

Well, Stephen, she's done, V7 STi RA Spec C goodness shoved into every corner of my super-sleeper.

It's one thing for a vendor to support a paying customer, yet another to discuss pros and cons with someone just leeching information. Thanks, IAPERFORMANCE, and you're on my list of future vendors.

Ordered a completel Ver8 Longblock w/ twinscroll from Stephen. He found a freight company that wasn't going to charge me twice as normal becuase of my location that his normal freight company considers rural. Got it to me right on time before I left town despite the shipping setbacks. Very smooth service. Stephen answered all my questions quickly, and dealt with me calling him over and over again :p

Version 8 Engine is beautiful. Should have it up and running within the week... hopefully.

I had a very small order of extended door pins which cost all of $6 shipped. I work at NAPA, but it was a good deal cheaper to get these from Stephen than with my discount at work. He responded to my order quickly over a weekend, and I had the parts within a week. I was pleased to see he puts as much effort into my $6 order that he puts into a $60 order. If I ever need anything that IA Performance can provide, they will be my first call. Thanks Stephen, and keep up the great work.

wow, can't believe I haven't seen this thread

Stephen had great customer service even before he moved to AZ and opened his own company. He installed my TXS stage 2 a long while back, and when we found there no gaskets or mounting hardware, he got some gaskets of his own to lend to me so that I could get running!

How hot is that?

And THEN, when I swapped my version 7, he would have every miscellaneous part I needed, like an uncut engine harness. It didn't have the right knock sensor because it was version 8, so he put one one to work for my version 7 in exchange for my mangled version 7 harness.

Double hotness.

And then, I talked to him about the "exchange your heads for cash" service, where I can mail in my version 7 heads, he'll send me some version 8 heads, $500, and a postcard! Awesome! lol j/k

Great service and way cool stuff.

Hi,

You guys just beat me to do this as I was about to start a thread on this supplier.

I hail from New Zealand and have been in discussion with Stephen for a 12litre IC Tank for my Version 7 STi.

He has been absolutely awesome with his dealings with me and has sent me an awesome kit for my vehicle. The pricing and shipping was great. The discussion on the supply of this IC tank started like Feb of this year and he has kept me upto date all through out the period. I offered to pay first, but he was reluctant to accept any payment until he knew the quality of the product that he was sending me.

I am looking at getting a few more things from him and I would recommend this Supplier & Stephen to anyone. You will not have any problems.

Great performance Stephen & IAPerformance.

Earlier this year, my MAF connector plug and wiring accidentally fell down the side of the engine, and got melted onto my exhaust manifold, rendering it completely useless.

I scoured all my local workshops and wreckers looking for a new one, and short of buying an entire wiring loom, I couldnt get one.

I emailed a few vendors from this forum, and got some responses...some with the parts, some without. The ones who had the parts, quoted me RIDICULOUS costs for them.

Stephen from IAPerformance.com, didnt have this part at that point in time, but he did some searching for me and found it elsewhere...at a very reasonable cost of ZERO DOLLARS, plus postage!!!

The part got to me super quick and well packaged.

For this, I commend Stephen on his fantastic customer service, and his ultra fast responses to my emails :)

i orderd some speaker brackets from them and was charges 54$ no big deal. i recived the package and everything is good. the sender was GABE

a week later i recive anothe package in the mail from IA, and look at the invoice and see its another set, and now the sender was SC, at this point i was now charges with 108$

i though i accedentaly orderd 2 and so i checked the original invoice and they were the same 1 order. they just decided to bill me twice and send 2. when the invoice only asked for 1

so i call gabe and told him abbout the situation and he said that they accedentally send 2 and billed me twice, he said he would take care of it right away and would email me.

3 days later no email no phone call nothing

i now owe 150$ ito the bank because of the 54$ IA billed me for an the overdraft fees. and still no word from IA.

im going to call them tomorow morning to see what happend but this is not cool at all.

Call your bank about the situation about the company over charging what you originally intended. They can't blame you for a company overcharging you and than laft a NSF on ya because that was not your fault. You knew how much you had in your bank, and how much they were "supposed" to charge. So make sure to contact them.

thats why i said it was still going to be updated.

and now problem solved. the overall getting billed for two items without the buyers concent is already a prob.

but IA fixed everything, so this is not a THUMBS UP THREAD:banana:

You need to ask a mod to modify this thread title. Sounds like they simply made an error and they are fixing it. Hate to see IA get a bum rap from the title.

Just to add, I have delt with IA before and always considered them an honest vendor.

I'm glad they're taking care of you, waving the scammer flag is a very serious accusation these days.

And thank you for being professional in regards to the title of this thread, way to call people scammers before they even had a chance to fix the problem.

Wow... sounds like someone jumped the gun. I have nothing but good things to say about IA Performance. Stephen helped me out in a big AVCS jam and then emailed shortly after to make sure I had the problem solved.

Guys I know money is important but mistakes happen and I doubt any real vendor is going to try and rip you off for small change. Coming on here and calling scammer w/o giving a company some time to sort it is just crazy.

Yeah I second that. I have dealt with Stephen a couple of times and he provides nothing but the best service and prices. Next time, try to work something out instead of jumping the gun and putting scammers on the topic before anything happens. Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone steps up like Stephen does.

Not flaming here, but you really should ask the mods to delete this. IA is top-notch. :)

I've had nothing but good experiences with IAPerformance and Stephen.

First, I bought some water injection components and Stephen took a bunch of time to talk to me and figure out what I needed. The setup worked just like he told me it would.

I also had some issues with wiring up my TGVs on my v7 swap and once again, Stephen was most helpful.

Thanks!

Just wanted to add to the list of people really satisfied by IA. I ordered speaker adapter rings and they wound up not fitting at all (silly polks). I figured it was my fault and shot off an e-mail to them just to let them know no polks will fit the 6.5" adapters and thought I would just have to resell the adapters, but Stephen sent out some predrilled adapters that fit my speakers the next day and was really helpful throughout the entire process. Definitely a great vendor.
