I'm doing a rear disk conversion and need some rear axle stubs. Does anyone know where I can find some cheap. Or if I can make them? I have a set of rear halfshafts that I don't mind disassembling as long as there is no permanent damage. I will need them in a few months for an AWD conversion.
axel stubs ....
like out of the diff?
I'd guess on the hub side since he's FWD right now. I've only ever seen whole halfshafts for sale, they're usually pretty cheap at junk yards.
I have some from a legacy turbo diff, will those work?

You can pull those half shafts apart no problem. I would keep grease in them and tape them off with duct tape. Then clean them thoroughly before you put it back together. You will need new CV clamps for the boots buts that no big deal.
