Hey guys/gals...
I'm planning on taking an advanced driving course sometime in the next few months in preparation for AutoXing and some future racing. I was wondering if any of you BAIclubbers wanted to join me. Here are some links to some of the schools around here. I'm also looking for impressions from people who have attended these schools.
Give me some input.....ThX

Which type of class were you considering? I'm interested in the defensive driving stuff. I'd like to learn more about skid control and accident avoidance stuff.

There's Skip Barber (http://www.skipbarber.com) at Laguna Seca, too. I'm thinking of taking the one day driving class.

For real drivers education, NOTHING beats Skip Barber, Russell or Bondurant. IMHO, if anyone says otherwise, they are a joker.
I've run events with Todd Serota (who runs Tracquest) and he seems cool and is a fast, proficient driver in his yellow Porsche. On local tracks with Tracquest I bet you have a great time, although his events are usually heavy on faster cars, so be prepared to move over for Vipers etc in the fast group.
For track time there is also: www.nasaproracing.com and of course this:

:)
and also touring car club, which skywalker and others have attended.

yeah i tend to agree with you angus but i want to learn the in's and out's of MY car while learning skills. I'll probably save $$$ for the bigger school when i'm ready to race in a year or so.
I've been invited to some track days but most of those guys have Porsches and Viper's.
If anyone is interested in one of the local schools that teaches you on your own car then let me know....
oh, and thanks for the links!
