I thought about a regional board for this question but then it's actually applicable to any area - is there any best way to find someone who knows how to work on a WRX, esp. with mods?
My Subaru dealer won't deal with some of the aftermarket issues, and some local mechanics I know have said things like 'Sure, I can replace that part...although I've never actually seen a WRX engine before, it can't be that hard'
Any tips for finding people that really know abt. things like A/F ratio, ECU mapping, boost pressure, O2 sensors - on the WRX? Seems word-of-mouth is the only effective means, but I'm curious how many try 'speed shops' vs. dealers vs. yellow pages [etc] to locate qualified mechanics.
