I searched and only found old dealer info for Oregon. I live across the river in Vancouver, WA, so Carter in Seattle is a little out of the question. I don't want to go to Dick Hannah...I have done business with them before...less than honest. Does anyone have any experiance with any of the Portland area dealers? Carr, Gresham, Wentworth, Lithia, Royal Moore, Capitol, or if I have to, Bob Stone. Looking for an 05 STI.

I'm in Salem,OR and got my Wrx at Wentworth in Portland. It was an ad car in the Oregonian (set price) though so the transaction was pretty smooth. But if I were you I'd shop from the convenience of my home. Here's what I suggest, get on edmunds.com and look up info on the STI. You'll get automatic pop-ups for internet quotes. Select a few of the nearby dealerships and watch them send you quotes about 2K below Msrp. That's been my experience. Dealing with the Internet department is always hassle free and once you get your quote you can always talk to some salesman but in my experience they can never beat an internet quote cause they want to be paid too...Just my 2 cents...Oh, I've dealt with Carr in Portland before and they try to steal your trade in really bad. We had a 95 VW Passat wagon in excellent condition and they were going to give us 1200 dollars so I asked them if they just wanted to buy the wheels... :rolleyes:

I would try Carr just for their large selection. I've only delt with their service department (which was reliable), but know a couple of people who have been in sales and I would trust them.

Wentworth in Portland. Walked in with trade. Drove home with WRX STi at $150 above INVOICE.

call Matt Howell at Gresham Subaru. He is the best salesman I have ever dealt with and gives great deals to everyone he deals with. He is a very stand up guy too, won't beat around the bush.

I got mine in Oregon City. The guy I delt with was Nathan (internet sales guy). I got my 05 WRX well below factory invoice.

Ask for online quotes and make them fight for your business. Thats what I did and I got a great deal.

Gresham Subaru has treated me good. Got my 05 RS well under invoice (paid 15,900)! They also gave me a free rental while I was getting my accessories (spoiler, alarm) installed a week later. They dont have a lot of cars, but make sure to check them out for good prices.

Oh, I forgot to mention....free tires for the life of the car (if you like the stockers anyway).
