Hi, I just found out yesterday that my old rack has a blown boot and is now leaking...so I decided to go ahead and look into steering rack bushings when I noticed they are only for 98+ racks. this got me to thinking about what had changed to the racks in 98? what parts would I need to convert to the 98+ rack?
Thanks, Micah

I had thought so too, but from how they are labeled it says 98+...the part numbers on the racks are different too...also at advanced auto they aren't the same part either...
on whitelines website they say that the bushings they make are for "wrx/sti gc my94-my00 sedan and wagons"

I have been searching and aparently the ksr202 kit fits on kostamojen's 95 impreza...so, I think I'm going to go with that...still waiting on my answer from whiteline.

I'm sure they will give you a few bucks for your broken one. And while your are it you can get a 2 turn lock to lock

that is really interesting, they change the ratio on the column, not the rack

I will have to talk with them about it...I think I need the ksr202 bushing set though, from all the searching I have done

is the ksr202 the same as what goes on the 02+ wrx? if not they are 25mm wide which would explain the difference between the 98+ part number. I accidently bought the 25mm steering rack bushings and i need the 30mm's.

yes rob, the ksr202 is the set for the new age wrx's but kostamojen put them on his 95 impreza L and there was a thread between him and of the whiteline guys talking sizes and specs to make sure what bushings would fit.
