Thanks, Vince JGard 07-19-2001, 10:30 AM STi makes it, and no it's not worth it. just take a visit to www.kartboy.com and get one of thiers. Kimbie 07-19-2001, 11:45 AM I am all for the Kartboy short shifter. I love mine ;) K Stanley 07-19-2001, 01:36 PM I ordered it with my car before I knew about this board. It is overpriced and doesn't do much. Short-throw - HA! Might be like 1/16 of an inch shorter:lol: It is definitely crisper feeling (notchier), which is nice... tsfxRS 07-19-2001, 02:45 PM If you look at the powertrain page on the kartboys site what is that at the very bottom that is in the gauge housing on the top of the console? And how much :) im tired of watching the NESW changing around as i drive. That's because it's about the same length as stock for the WRX and RS, but about an inch shorter than the Forester's. A Kartboy is way too short for a Forester - about 2" shorter than stock. You can barely reach it! -juice glilly 07-19-2001, 04:35 PM I too orderd my car with the STI shifter. I drove the car for 2 weeks before they were in-stock. After having it installed, I felt a big difference, and I liked the fact that the shifter arm wasn't shorter, but the throws were. After installing a MOMO ball style knob on it, it shortened the hieght only about an inch or less. I say it's damn near perfect. Any shorter throws or shorter shifter arm would be an inconvenience as a daily driver. Thor's Hammer 07-19-2001, 04:38 PM I drove mine for about a month before the shifter was installed. It made a big difference. Shifts are much cleaner. -Bryan |
