Kostamojen 04-30-2005, 02:33 AM Is the steering wheel airbag roughly the same as previous year airbags?

Redline8k 04-30-2005, 02:37 PM I dont have the stock seats anymore to take a pictures. I currenty have a set of sparco Torino's and they are tight in the legs. Im trying to sell them so I can either get some recaros or a set of ver 7's. I just need more info about making the driver seat height adjustable.

King Of Imports 04-30-2005, 04:11 PM Ah, makes sense.
The seat bases are swappable if you can find a USDM driver's side seat with the height adjustment. This can be a WRX or STi seat. The conversion is not to difficult. I have done three personally, 1 v.7, 1 v.8, and 1 with the latest GDB-E Type STi seats (these are the seats offered in the STis here and in Japan after they went with the 114.3 bolt pattern.
It can be a bit tricky for the first time, but I can give you specific instructions.
King Of Imports 04-30-2005, 04:12 PM I guess that did not help...in a nutshell, it involves removing the fabric from both seat bottoms, swapping the seat bottoms, and reinstalling the frabric.
clamdip 04-30-2005, 08:16 PM any word on the shipping cost to hawaii for the seats? i know, it's probably not worth mentioning because it's wayyyyy to expensive. :)
King Of Imports 04-30-2005, 08:41 PM SHipping via ups and fedex is too much worth mentioning, but I am seeing if we can send it by sea and get it any cheaper. If it is, I will PM you. Otherwise, its like over $200 to ship this stuff for shipping alone. Probably best to sell it locally.
clamdip 04-30-2005, 09:00 PM would it be better if you mailed it to my friends auto shop as he gets parts from the mainland frequently? if this would be cheaper or in fact better, let me know. thanks, and sorry for the hassle. :)
King Of Imports 05-01-2005, 08:02 PM Ask him if he can arrange the pickup and i can give you the dimensions and weight. Our carrier does not offer the best of pricing. Email me your contact details if you would like. kevin@kingofimports.com
