Hey all. I'm from the UK, and have been looking at your site for sometime now. i run a WRX with ~350bhp, but my son is after a 2.0ltr sport, and due to the fact that I have spare turbo, intercooler, injectors, full exhaust system etc, i want to know how to turbo the sport that he would get. the turbo is a TD04, and i have the full exhaust from my scooby including the manifold.
so tell me is this possible to do? i understand i may well need an Apexi ecu and control unit to have it mapped?
also what do you lot this of the TSl turbo kit?
thanks a lot guys
and be gentle :D

Anything is possible with enough money.

In addition to the parts listed, you will need a turbo crossmember if you are going to use the OEM exhaust components. The NA crossmember doesn't have the notch that allows the uppipe to clear.

As mentioned, some type of fuel/timing management will be needed. Those of us that turbo'd our RSs used mechanisms like rising rate fuel pressure regulators and upgraded fuel pumps to deal with fueling needs. Search around. There are newer fuel/timing management systems that obsolete the old way of doing it.

if i'm correct, the Sport uses an EJ20 that has avcs and is basically a higher compression wrx engine- it would probably take very well to turbo if you don't run too much boost for the compression ratio.

what diz said is correct though- anything's possible with enough money/effort.

however, this probably should go in aftermarket turbo forum, since the question is about turbo kits- they'll probably be able to help you more than the naturally aspriated.

Stay far away form the TSI turbo kit, they are cheep and not very well made... made for civics, not subarus.
Good luck
