Hi all,

I have just purchased a 1993 Subaru Impreza 1.6i Gl. Impreza was my dream for a while, so here I go :)

I am a newbe in car upgrade and tuning/styling, but I would like to squeez just a little bit more on how my Impreza could look like and, what it can do in terms of HP.

Now its a stock 1.6i model. So I guess its the weakest Impreza in the world :) Guys, what is possible to upgrade? Are there any owners of similar models, who have been successful in upgrading it to somthing more "agressive"?

wow 1.6l, since this is a north american based club we didnt get the 1.6 in the impreza. 1.6 I believe can be found in some old gls and what not. We got a 1.8 instead. Im sure most of the parts for the 1.8/2.2/even the 2.5 will bolt up in regards to air intakes, exhausts, maybe even pullies.

Lets face it though your not gonna squeeze to much more power out of that 1.6. Turbo or nitrous could be an option.

is this an awd impreza? You can find many suspension components and body components to put on.

Yes, its an awd impreza. What would you suggest to start the upgrade? I am sure I am not gonna go with nitro, but air intake, exhaust and turbo sounds ok. What would give the most power. Or is it that everyting needs to be replaced?
