yoyo guys! why do WRX's burn so much oil??? or is it just my car???
maybe someone knows why?? anyone?? or is it the oil i use?? using mobile1

Mine doesn't burn any :D... But I'm using dino not synthetic.

I don't have any oil burning.. and I'm pushing a bit more than stock hp.

My car has almost 40,000km's now.. Using sythetic since 17,000k.


my cousin's STI burned synthetic (mobil1), but then changed to Castrol syntec and stopped burning..

Mine is at 50k km now and its not burning any oil at all. Used only synthetic, motul to mobil 1 and lately trying out valvoline.

Try Motul. Mine used to burn oil with the stock oil, but it doesn't anymore with Motul 300v

mine does burn oil too.. even with mutol

but it only burns oil if i push it hard. in normal driving, it won't burn oil.

my cousin and i both push our cars hard (all the time) -- no oil burning. :alien:

I used dino until 30K and switched to fully synthetic. Burns no oil. UTEC since 60K and now i'm on 78K.

I've been on motul for 24,000 kms. No oil burn at all, and I'm a spirited driver ... I dont drive that hard :D

how much are you burning? I burned over a litre every 3000km and the dealer wouldnt do anything. It was still under bumper to bumper. You had better log the oil loss every interval and take it in for warranty if its a lot.

If my 2003 had noticible oil loss, I'd probably be a bit concerned...are you certain there isn't a leak?
