I just wanted to offer a few words of praise about Autowest Subaru in roseville California. I've been in their twice for service (sort of twice) The first time I had a problem with my passenger side sun visor. One of the service writers, Heath took a look at it and without hesitation ordered a repalcement. While I was there I chated with Heath and one of the techs,Tony. We all crowded around my engine, I answered questions about my mods, etc and basically just bs'ed about subarus and tuning. Tony was really excited because he is pushing the dealership to allow for more performance oriented projects. He wants to to driveline swaps and dyno tuning, all the good stuff. Hearing this, obviously sparked my interest about the possibility of going to the dealership to do tuning, etc. A week later the visor arrives and they allow me to stop by during a lunch break for the install. it took about 20 minutes and I was back on the road.

Secondly, I stopped by today for a noise I have been hearing in my driveline. If I hear anything that I cant recognize I take it in. So I showed up without an appointment at about 3pm. I walk in talk with Heath and he calls for the head mechanic, Mike to see if he can go on a ride along. Sure enough, he makes time and take a couple hot laps with me. He explains that since the car only has 3800 miles, it is still breaking in and I will catch the occasional noise here and there untill the the driveline is fully broken in. That was basically it, he did mention the extended service warranty I am eligible to purchase up until 36k miles. Interesting.

In short, the twotimes I have been to autowest for service,I have felt as if my happiness with my car is important to them. I will continue to go to autowest for any of my subaru concerns.

Thanks to all at Autowest Subaru!

i have to agree, i am currently getting my ENTIRE transmission replaced with a brand new one, due to some synchro and gear problems that were not user enabled. for me, Tony, one of the techs, told me that he was personally going to take care of it, and he has ordered all the parts from japan, and installed the whole tranny in just under 2 weeks. that is lightning in my book. Tony is friends with a local STI tuner, Paul DeBecker who owns DBTuned, off taylor road. anyways, autowest is great, and they have a great tech, Tony.
