Is there any way around it? thanks for info beefyib123 04-15-2005, 11:00 AM i am not sure what you are feeling....some maps have rough spots in them caused by timing. most of the roughness can be tuned out. MustGoFast 04-15-2005, 11:26 AM I also don't know what your talking about. I'm assuming its a ruff transition (CL->OL) you're referring to and can easily be tuned out edaniele1212 04-15-2005, 12:51 PM well the guy at a local tuner shop told me that when the Utec takes over the EM @ 2k theres a little motor blip. he told me that you can learn how to shift around it, kinda like trying to avoid dropin your rrrr's below 2k. is this true??? ride5000 04-15-2005, 04:36 PM the utec cuts in only according to TPS, not rpm. ken edaniele1212 04-15-2005, 04:57 PM I dont know what the hell this guys talking about then  SuperSubie81 04-15-2005, 05:35 PM And don't ever speak with that guy EVER again :) feiron 04-15-2005, 08:15 PM and that guy works for at a tuning shop? never go back to him :) .... the bucking is usually related to running too rich and/or driving right around the TPS crossover point... you can adjust the crossover point to suit your driving style ;) Dizastical 04-15-2005, 09:56 PM have the car properly road tuned and that will go away . Uncle Scotty 04-15-2005, 11:11 PM ...it can be a PITA sometimes.....but sometimes things like BOV's:rolleyes: make it a lot more difficult. wrxpeed 04-16-2005, 06:12 AM sometimes, stock cars have hesitation as well coming onto boost, so it could be that, but don't trust the "tuner" you were refering to again. Bryan edaniele1212 04-16-2005, 06:24 PM well I guess so...It seemed like he knew what he was talking about too ride5000 04-16-2005, 07:14 PM it WOULD be theoretically POSSIBLE for you to have the utec cut in at a certain rpm though... just not likely. there would be no reason to. you'd have to 1) keep the utec in original (non-olf) mode, 2) set your values for timing, boost, and maf offset to ECU, ECU and 0 respectively for all load sites below the cutover rpm. then you would have a TPS + RPM based crossover to utec control. it would depend on BOTH parameters being met in order to take effect. i don't know why you would do this--but it's possible. |
