If I beat on her I can run faster but I feather it and take it a bit easy as I like driving home from the track in one piece.
Blackpantherwrx 04-16-2005, 02:34 PM Is This With The Vf30?34?22? What Kind Of Gas? And If It Is On Race Gas Is It Tuned For Race Gas? Any Ways Nice Time.
V6TurboTA 04-16-2005, 02:36 PM Good job :)

VF30 tuned for 104 on a UTEC and thanks. It's fast for what it is.
Blackpantherwrx 04-16-2005, 03:44 PM Nice Time
lawn boy 04-16-2005, 09:46 PM what time would this setup run on pump gas? I see so many conflicting times for stage 4 and many different setups.
wrxtremeWGN 04-16-2005, 09:48 PM nice time, now launch that slut and bring your et down.
23b_Rex 04-16-2005, 11:13 PM work on that 60ft, pull a 1.6-7 and you can watch the drag strip peel up behind you
Blackpantherwrx 04-16-2005, 11:58 PM i think on pump 91 it will hit a 12.6 @107mph that is my guess also how much whp did you make or was it a street tune??? I do not think he needs to launch any harder if he likes his car for everyday driving. But on the other hand if you want to upgrade the tranny go ahead and git r done.
imprezive one 04-17-2005, 12:07 AM 111 mph trap is roughly what? like 340 whp?
Rancid 04-17-2005, 12:08 AM what time would this setup run on pump gas? I see so many conflicting times for stage 4 and many different setups.
The times don't "conflict". Different set ups, different tuning and different drivers make different times.
Nice run! Glad to see the silver wagon running strong.
Here's a funny story:
H.K. and some guy were....speed comparing each other, and H.K. was much quicker. When we got to the gas station, he says "This must be why I'm so fast and points to the back seat. What was there?
A car seat for his daughter. Wag0wned.
cubuff 04-17-2005, 01:17 AM That is easily a couple tenths lower with a high 1.7 low 1.8 60ft. 111mph is good for low low 12's
Need4Boost 04-18-2005, 09:34 AM Nice trap speed!
ride5000 04-18-2005, 02:16 PM any mods besides basic st4 stuff? port polish, wrap, etc?
midnite_wrex 04-18-2005, 02:20 PM fmic? whered you have it tuned? what'd it put down? details man!
samwY 04-18-2005, 06:59 PM Nice!
kettsupp 04-18-2005, 11:42 PM are you on the stock tranny?
afpdl 04-19-2005, 12:04 AM he has a tmic and still on the stock tranny. I think the car put down 275whp but somthing like 330ft/lbs at SGP in Houston, its a pretty conservative dyno.
H.K. Phooey 04-21-2005, 01:11 AM I'm on the stock tranny.
On the launch, this was just after the NHRA nationals and the track was sticky.
I don't kill the car(stock tranny) and I like the tranny were it is, in the car and not on the track. I have run 1.70 60ft times but the car was really pissed about it.
I put down 296hp and 313Tq on one dyno and then 291hp and 331Tq on another so who knows really on race gas.
On a 50/50 mix map I ran 12.67 @ 112 On a very cold night, with the 1.72 60ft time.
I gave that time slip to the guy from Hot Rod Magazine and he put my car in the March 2004 Edition page 72, a Subaru in HotRod Mag, that was the day the Earth Stood Still.
The car was tuned by Jared from PDX Tuning in Houston on a conservitive map for 104 at SGP racing. I drive it almost everyday.
No other mods, except lightweight rims SSR's AEM Intake, Good Grounding, Brakes, 1 sticker" You got beat by a wagon" go for 5hp
Pretty much a pure stage 4 Turbo XS car
I feel if I slam it out of the box and speed shift it(go petal a 100% between shifts) I could run a 12.2 maybe a 12.1 but agian I like my car the way it is, running and able to drive home. I don't like the question of how fast can you=how much are you willing to spend. I don't want to run a 12.1 and blow a tranny.
Thanks all and remember tell your friends, wagon are t3h fast3r:cool:
5spdfrk 04-21-2005, 01:15 AM Nice!
schnoog 04-21-2005, 02:22 AM Z06's and EVO's are faster.
Cavadini 04-21-2005, 03:23 AM awesome time! At the track I was doing some test/tune on my VF34 sedan with UTEC/TMIC and I tuned my trap from 107 to 111mph. I'm going back on friday to add a good launch on that 111mph trap and go for that low low 12 as well! Awesome time man!
WRX8U82 04-21-2005, 03:56 AM I totally agree with not having your tranny on the track quote....my friend had the same setup as you, but no dyno. He tuned his own utec w/ race gas stage 4 vf34 n txs tmic...and got at 12.51. He went fmic and got 12.41 he tuned himself. So your times are right on track. He told me his street map was 12.7/.6!
I'm loving your times. Gives me hope this year.
Cavadini 04-21-2005, 04:06 AM Road tuning is the way to go! I have never touched a dyno or let anybody touch my UTEC. Just me and the old tuna. I was very happy to hear his wagon times too, gives me hope for my 12.3 on a VF34! We'll see in two days!
Hotrodguru 04-21-2005, 11:23 AM Z06's and EVO's are faster.
ok???? Don't hate because your STi will get spanked by his Wagon.
Guru
P.S. Ohhh he's not telling you guys about the secret dry ice mod. ;)
