What does the gain number mean on a dynapack dyno. Of all the post I've never noticed that the gains are the same from one dyno to the next.

From my questionable engineering background, gain is an amplification expressed as a ratio of output to input. In other words, it's probably some kind of correction factor for the specific dyno.

So, if that is correct than does a higher negative number mean a higher correction ratio?

The gain is the actual difference from one spot on the dyno chart to another. Its where the cross hairs are at. Its of no value really unless you are doing a comparison between one run to the next.
