The best help we can give you with that gauge is not to bother with it if you think it is going to actually give useful A/F readings, it isn't. It has to be tapped off the rear 02 sensor which is narrowband and downstream in the exhaust after the catalytic converters so you can't get worthwhile readings there. The only accurate A/F gauges are those that use their own, dedicated wideband 02 sensor located in the manifold.

Ok, I knew about the wideband issue. Now also about the downstream issue. 1+1 = 2 now... thx! I'll just keep mine mounted and looking pretty for now :)

I have mine tapped into the utec, I understand that it isn't totally accurate, but it looks good, and it was on the car when I got it.

Was wondering if anyone knows what color the rear O2 sensor wire is as it goes throught the engine bay in the bundle of wires. I am trying to hook up one of these guage. Thanks

i just had this same issue 1 week ago an NO ONE on this site cared to help, just said SEARCH NOOB and crap like that. Run the purple wire on the back of the Air/fuel gauge to the O2 sensor on the rear cat. There will be 2 black wires, one white wire, and one blue wire. I tapped into the blue wire and it worked, and when i tried it by using the white wire the gauge never worked. So blue is the answer. Just run the wire out the firewall and down the engine bay, grab some wire loom from walmart or somethin too. If you need anymore help, PM me and ill help u the best i can. Good luck

If you buy a wideband sensor, is there a spot to hook it into? Or do you have to make your own?

You would buy the wideband sensor as part of a complete A/F gauge setup.

is the a/f o2 setup gonna work with the computer or are the voltages completely different and only runs the a/f meter itself?
