The Body Control Module in my XT was replaced last Friday because the interior lights wouldn't turn off. The next day the lights won't turn on so either the new one went bad in a day or something else is to blame.

I added two white neon footwell lights to the car around 6 months ago. I was worried these might have caused the module to go out but I didn't reconnect them on Friday so they definitely didn't break the new module.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Also, has anyone heard of footwell lights breaking anything? I want to hook them back up after they fix this because the interior of the XT is way too dark for my liking. I have never heard of anyone having problems with them but I don't want to be the first.
