What is the difference between a STi UTEC and a WRX UTEC? Is there any way to make a WRX UTEC work on a STi?

I only know that they're not inter-changeable... the STI utec is dual-processor (not sure what it is... but I'm guessing they need to be different since AVCS? )

even the revision 4 only work on an 02, rev 5 for 02-03 and rev 6 for all models....

WRX UTEC has a different number of electrical plugs than the STI UTEC. No way can you get it to work on an STI

The way to convert it is four easy steps:

1) Post for-sale ad for current UTEC
2) Buy used STi UTEC
3) ????
4) Profit!

^^^^ you make it sound so easy.

the WRX ECU and the STI ECU don't shair very much incommon. this is like asking what is the diff between a Civic ECU and a WRX ECU. and the answer is....they aren't the same.
