Hi All,

I am currently running an AP Stage1 (93) with a K&N Typhoon. I "need" to go to Stage2. Currently I plan to go with the catted Cobb TBE. So here are my questions:

1) What is the general opinion (or better experience) with the Stage2+Typhoon+Cobb 3" config? Is the catted Cobb too quiet?
2) Is it possible that the Typhoon may be "limiting" performance? For example, I noticed during the install that the MAS did not fit into the Typhoon as well as it does on the stock unit (could a leak develop here? and if so, what would be the effect).
3) Has anyone compared the following: AP /w Typhoon and AP /wo Typhoon?

Thanks

1. Too quiet is too vague as one man's quiet is another man's loud. Cobb's exhaust is fairly quiet according to my exhaust dB testing though.
2. It might. Many have run the Typhoon with Cobb's stuff, but no one can say that it added or lost XXHP with Cobb's maps. Call Cobb and see if they have seen any results, but I doubt it.
3. Only butt dyno results.

Welp.. here is my anal-ysis:

1. I have a Borla hush, it is just a tad louder than stok, looks stoick, and I love it. I think you will really want somethig quiet, keeps the police away, and is less "ricey."
2. I run a Typhoon on stage 2. Seems perfect to me. Sounds great, performs great. I would say it doesnt lose any HP.
3. Havent done it, but the general consensus would be that the Typhoon will lean out the car a little, which is fine in my opinion because it runs so rich anyway, even with the Stage 2.

Have Fun!

i would first have your typoon checked out if you think that the mass air flow doesn't fit in right
