Hello all,

Here is a link to our web site and if you click on the "Our Ride" link you can see the car mods and dyno sheet!

Racing for the Children (http://www.racingforthechildren.org/)

This is the car in which we will be taking on the One Lap. Competition looks tough, but we are hoping to prevail! Check out the schedule and come out and cheer us on! We will love to see our fellow Subie enthusiasts at the tracks. We might even have some goodies and t-shirts to give away!

Thanks,

Enrique

Was it ever???

I assume this is the Tirerack event? If so good luck your car seems well setup from the motor standpoint what do you have as far as diffs?

I wouldn't go as far as to say it is bulletproof ... but it's very sweet. :D Next time get a variant of the 2.2L block so you can have those oil-squirters. They're an especially large benefit on the track where internal thermal loads are unusually high. :)

The one and only! ;) One Lap of America (http://www.onelapofamerica.com) is the official event link.

As for the diffs, we have spares! Hopefully we won't need them as it is only two 5 lap sessions at each track. Except VIR where we will have three sessions. The drag races is where it could be an issue.

As short as the track sessions are in this event we are hoping it will not be an issue. (Knocking on wood!)

Yea I seen that car in person!! It looks and sounds great... I love the graffics, and it does seem like a very solid set-up, and those are very nice number on race-gas on that dyno!! Good Luck!!

That run was on a mixture of 91 and 100 octane. Closer to 95 octane. We have seen higher numbers with straight race fuel. But wanted to keep it closer to what we will be running during the event.

Thanks,

Enrique

I noticed your setup says staggered wheels on the street.

How big of a difference in tire diameter is there front to rear?

Are you concerned with burning up the center diff?

Nice setup BTW!

The rolling diameter is actually the same, only the width is different. So it will not hurt the center diff.

Thanks,

Enrique

why not remove the scoop or put a flat CF hood on for the races? I know it wont look as good, but if any of the events are high speed, removing some drag might get you a few extra mph down the straights...

That's a nice car, I like the choice of parts. I noticed the oil pan, have you looked into an Accusump? Also, how did you handle the oil separation?

Good luck and I hope she stays together.

I'd love to hear/see more details about the car, especially the oil sump and delivery system.

The scoop has been removed, and a Seibon reverse hood scoop installed instead. Pictures of the car to follow shortly.

We are running the ARC Deep Sump oil pan and a Greddy Catch can for the oil separation.

Rich and I will be splitting the track events.

They were 48 mm and then they had to machine off another 5mm. So they ended up being 53mm offset.

Damn your a lucky guy that Richard will let you flog that thing around the track. He has taken me out for a joy ride around Dyno Comp, and he knows how to drift that thing with ease. And that was a while ago, so he has a lot more power now with his rotated mount setup!

I was very fortunate Richard and Dynocomp wanted to participate in the One Lap this year and enrolled Racing for the Children to join them.

Enrique (Lucky bastage!) :)
