The 250hp legacy GT motor seems like a more budgeted approach to STI performance in an RS. I was wondering if theres anyone who has seen these motors for sale like LIC or whoever who can gauge the pricing and availablity of these motors? I am very interested in doing this sort of conversion to my GC6 RS as opposed to an EJ20. I hear of people's RS trannies surviving under the increased HP, although it wouldnt kill me to put an uprated gearset for the RS tranny either. My budget right now and the fact that my track toy is also a daily driver forces my to put off doing an entire tranny/rear end conversion right now.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

dunno but there are a TON of obxts floatign around here

i see your in california .. the big proublem with the legacy swap is that its ecu is wack intagrated in the car .. seat belts, security system, radio freq. keys, volume of the sub woofer

now if you were using a standalone (of which there is only one at the moment that works- hydra) thats a differnt story

A lot of OBXT engines, really?

Seems weird...

Why?

I know of a wrecked 05 Legacy GT that sold for $6700 at auction and a Forester XT for $3900. I wish I would have bought the XT.

Yeah you were the one that mentioned the XT in one of my threads a couple of weeks ago, right? :)

That would've been sweet, indeed.
