im was getting misfire on cylinders 2 & 4 but now im getting misfire on all 4 cylinders. do you guys think my motor is gone? my car still runs and idles great with no signs of the motor being bad, but im just worried. my CEL comes on at random times, never at high rpms, just at idle or regular driving. the CEL turns off by themselfs and come back. they never blink which is a good thing. im going to check my spark plugs today and if the plugs look like they're in good condition, i will be checking my injectors next.

did a compression test and all 4 cylinders are fine. all pulled 160. i reset the ecu and hopefully the CEL does not come back

...it may be an induction leak or a vac leak or something weird like a failing sensor or gooped up MAF.....what CEL codes EXACTLY does it throw...

when something like this happened to the vw, it was the coil pack...maybe you should try and clean the terminals on them and see if that makes a difference?

had this problem, my timing belt has slipped a tooth
but other things to look at are vacuum leaks, spark plugs, coil packs

Sounds a bit like Jesters problem.

Are you out of warranty? Maybe you know someone who has a wrx and you could plug in their ecu and see if that's it.
