Hey guys, I know I'm bad with the camera but I'm going to be taking some pictures pretty soon but I wanted to let everyone know on my RS with the full USDM STi everything swap we were able (after a few late nights) to get the new Perrin FMIC for the WRX/STi to fit. I'll be taking some pictures this week and posting them here and on rallitek.net so everyone can have a better idea of how to go about doing it. I will say it looks amazing, it fills up the entire front hole. More to come.

Cheers,
Joel

Sound sweet man. I'll be putting my Hyperflow FMIC on my 01 with the v7 engine. Kinda the same setup...kinda. Good luck to you.

Later,
Greg

Joel,

Hey can you post them here. I dont have an acct on rallitek. How much cutting of the front bumper did you have to cut? How about the bumper beams?

It won't let me post pics here or I'm not seeing how to do it very well. The Rallitek account is easy to make or send me your e-mail and I'll send them to you.
Cheers,
Joel

Post them here. I'm not going to subscribe to another forum just to look at some pictures

Here since Joel seems to be internet impaired, his pictures:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Kotir/3.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Kotir/4.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Kotir/5.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v403/Kotir/6.jpg

And like I said in the other post these pictures are making me rethink a Perrin FMIC for my car... I don't like the piping placement at all. Might be better off with one for a GC than having to mod the piping so it doesn't sit where his does.

On the other hand big FMIC are cool and the center part looks pimp

Yup now we know that setup doesnt work on a GC :D. How many clips hold that bumper on . Its a shame you hacked that bumper cover so much. Did you need to hack on any sheetmetal around the stock air box?

Man, there's just two camps in the GC8 crowd isn't there? Anyhoo, the marker lights are actually the turn signals now. And most of the cheesy clips were replaced with nuts and bolts with large thin washers. No cutting was done near the airbox.

the conspiracy to have everyone sign up at rallitek continues!!!! Thwarted by Kotir, yes!!!!11:lol:

in all seriousness, it looks sweet when the opening is totally full of IC core like that, and you will cool very nicely, however i agree that you prob could have gotten around hacking the bumper so much, just by modding that single tube.

looks nice though.

Holy frontmount batman!

Damn that thing is huge. looks great, just wish the fog lights were retainable.

Bit big (which isn't bad) but yeah I like my front crash protection w/the USDM bumper beam. (My rear beam saved my RS when she got hit before so I like our over beefy beams)

Looks great!!!

Is that the GD bumper beam also? How did you get that to fit the chassis? Thanks

That's a pretty ballsy move sacrificing all that stuff for the FMIC. A little much in my opinion, but great if it's a track car. That would definitely get you pulled over within minutes of leaving your driveway around here.

Its a bit big if your running a freaking gt-40... otherwise its total overkill.
