Right now my STi is on pink springs. I plan on upgrading to coilovers a little farther down the line.

Im getting Volk wheels. I havent yet decided if I want 17x8+44 or 17x8.5+44 and what width tire to put on them.

Right now I have 235/35/18s on. I definately want something that is wider.

If I get the 8" wheel and put 245/40/17s on, will I rub the STRUT?

Will I have problems rubbing the STRUT with 255/40/17s on the 8.5 inch wheels?

I already have the need to roll the fenders, I know thats an issue and I plan to resolve it. I just don't want to buy a set of wheels and tires and find that they are too wide and rub the strut and not be able to use them until I get a coilover set-up.

Thanks,
George

neither of those will rub against the struts, but will against the rear fender unless roll them.

I'm running 17x8.5 +50 245/40 and have only a few millimeters between the tire and rear strut.

I'm terrible with offsets. Will the lower offset of the wheels I'm looking at push the wheel closer or farther away from the strut then the +50s?

It will push it further away from the strut.
