I am going to track over the next few oil changes how the Baja is doing. Anyone else using Blackstone Labs for oil analysis?

Yes a few of us have. Check out the right forum for this topic (service and maintenance) or www.bobistheoilguy.com for analysis results.

Used them a few years ago to diag a issue I was having with an engine. Instead of spending all the time tearing it apart and hunting, I just drained the oil and sent it off to them. Swapped the engine. Later tore the engine down out of boredom and they were dead on.

I've had 2 UOAs done by them, specifically terry...he explains things very well, giving you a TBN report and his analysis as well as suggestions on what he can do. ended up extending my oil out to 7k intervals safely...I have every confidence in terry and his analysis.

Yup, I use Blackstone too. Here's my first UOA on Mobil Drive Clean 5w-30:

I also just sent off my second sample to them, this time I tried Motorcraft Semi-Synthetic 5w-30. I should have my report back by early next week (if not sooner).

With these turbos shearing the factory fill down to a 20 weight due to wear metals, wouldn't you think FHI/SoA would recommend the first change at 1,000 miles or use a 10W30 from the factory?
