Got some information I'm figuring some of you might be able to use.

Went to Summit Racing in Akron,OH www.SummitRacing.com a few days ago to order NGK plugs for my 2001 2.5RS. According to NGK's Web Site, the copper V-Power plugs are Stock number 2756, BKR6E-11. The Platinum plugs are Stock number 3540, BKR6EVX-11.

I didn't see any reference to the new NGK Iridium IX plugs, so I figured that they aren't available yet for my Subie.

The salesman at Summit was very helpful, but unfortunately said that the Platinum plugs were out of stock, and would have to ship from their NV warehouse. Also, he said that their reference book for my car had a new Stock number. Stock number 3764. Odd that NGK would change their Stock number, but OK.

The plugs arrived today, and it turns out that they are the new Iridium IX's. =) What a really nice surprise. So here's what I learned:

Stock number 2756, BKR6E-11 = V-Power copper.
Stock number 3540, BKR6EVX-11 = Platinum.
Stock number 3764, BKR6EIX-11 = Iridium IX.

I do hope this is helpful for some of my fellow Subie enthusiasts. Summit uses the Stock number for ordering purposes, and charged me $6.99 for the Iridium IX plugs.

Take care all!

Erik

Anybody know if the WRX uses the same plugs? I don't have my manual nearby.

You don't want those plugs! They are too overpriced. You can spend that money somewhere else... Get the NGK V-powers THEY RULE!!!
