Hi All..

I did a search and read numerous threads and posts on this.. but I saw a lot of replace the o2 sensor.. and no.. that doesnt work ... which kinda contradicts itself.

The code -- P0136 Rear oxygen sensor circuit malfunction -- came up almost after I did the RFL BOV. I am going to put the stocker back on and see but I wanted to see what people think on this.

I have an 02 rex... turbo back exhaust in which I have the Perin Cel Fix. I also have a Perin Short Ram -- both of which I have had on for about 6 months with no codes. I didnt even get the p0136 when I miswired the Perin Cel Fix -- I got the other o2 sensor fail code.

Now.. I have the cel fix wired properly, soldered.. and is blinking accordingly. ( the fix )
I reset the code and it came back within 2 days...... I read that it could be the sensor is dying.. which I would just a new sensor.. but.. I dont wanna get a $115 sensor and it go out or not be the case.

I also read that lack of cats and heat wouldnt be an issue.. as that wouldnt affect the sensor or wires themself. Any ideas?

**Oh.. the car doesnt run bad either.. no surges, mis idles, etc.. ( I read people had some of these symptoms also )

damn that's a shame you got nothing. might as well bump this instead of starting another thread, because that's what i have too. did you ever get this resolved at least?

i'm at a loss for what is causing mine. the only thing i have changed lately is to take my blitz sus short ram intake off.

i just have basic mods, up, down, utec... any thoughts as to what might cause this? incidently i just replaced my front 02 sensor a couple months ago...

I recently fail emissions and I think that was one of the codes, talked to a Tec and he said something about his friends 1.8t gti fail just because of a bov.

Dealer says there is no problem when he tests it? I have been told to change the oxygen sensor the throttleposition sensor may be the problem? Also mentioned were plugs pcv valve bad gas sea foam oil change air filter on and on and on GOOD LUCK

do you get that same cel when you are having those symptoms?

i'd buy the tps argument, if i was getting a code for that... it'll be expensive, but i guess if i can't rule anything else out, i'll have to replace the sensor...
