Anybody knows of any website that shows how to DIY coolant thermostat change?

If you do, could you reply to this thread please? Thank you.

there's a thread or two on scoobymods

Not that difficult -
1. drain the coolant
2. remove the thermostat housing
3. remove the old thermostat (pay attention to the orientation of it - there is a jiggle valve/pin on most thermostats and it's position is often important)
4. insert the new one (the same orientation as the old one)
5. replace the housing
6. refill with coolant

I need to remove the thermoplastic undercover first, then drain the coolent etc. When finished run engine to operating temp and check for leaks then replace the undercover.

www.scoobymods.com and search "thermostat."

It's located underneath the engine. Follow the lower radiator hose to the little black, thermostat housing. Drain coolant through the radiator drain ****, block plug, and remove the two bolts and lower radiator hose. Just make sure you take note on how the t-stat is in the housing. Also, phosphate & silicate anti-freeze as you probably know. I'd use an OEM thermostat ($12), too.
