some r iceboy got ahold of a 2.5 RS

here's what i saw today

STi pink grillebadge
STi logo UNDER the 2.5RS logo on the rear wing
GTR on rear opposite 2.5RS logo
STi logo on rear above 2.5RS logo
stock alloys

obviously no need for rice wing cause it has the stock RS near-supra style wing

i cried for that car today

[edit r iceboy was blocked out by bot]

What is your problem?

obviously no need for rice wing cause it has the stock RS near-supra style wing

Explain this one to me...The supra wing is atleast 3x's larger than the verIV wing that is on our cars.

And so what with the PINK badge on the front, I have that on mine...you need to think before you post and offend people.

And yes: 'To each, his own.'

....

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with any of that. Next thing you'll say is that REAL22B owners should replace their wide biy with US spec fenders and dich their vents and wing too.

Really man, a little thinking first would be appreciated.

Tats.

badges and decals are RICE.

suspensions, turbos, tires, etc. are not.
I love it how some people will say that honda owners who put "Type R" stickers on their civics are ricers, but its perfectly fine for subaru impreza owners to put STi stickers on there car.

Give me a break.

I wouldnt think representing STi a little is ricey. I mean if he had some "STi" pink lights under his car and a 1000 Mugen stickers and maybe some off-sided racing stripes, then he'd be pimping rice.
The setup originally described isnt all that bad.

If you see a Sube like that, dont pity the car, kill the guy.

I see no problem with any of the things you mention in your post. Personally, I feel that if a guy spends $18,000 for a car, they can do whatever makes them happy. The whole "rice" term is so played out, IMO.

I dont agree. If someone buys the lowest trim honda and puts a Type R sticker on it and some VTEC crap then it is rice or at least stupid. Same as if someone with a RS put some WRX badging on their car, but putting a STi decal on a Subaru is not rice, to an extent.

Is the RS an STi? Is the Honda a Type R? No in both cases.
Still... Some decals add a nice attractive looking package. There's no need to flame anyone as long as the application adds something nice to the appearance. Sometimes displaying a decal is just brand loyalty.

It seems that as everyday passes by...people know less and less the meaning of *ice...

I always thought *ice was something you put on your car for performance which doesn't add any....like um...a IC Kit...just for show, no functionality whatsoever...

Now that's *ice....

If that's not it, then someone care to enlighten me?

BigElm hit the nail on the head....puting a pink i badge on your car does not make it #ice...a fake intercooler does:lol:

This is how I define rice, sticker/decals on your car that your car really don't have is rice.
Putting Sti stickers when your car is not really a "Sti" tuned RS is rice. Putting a turbo stickers when your car doesn't even have turbo is rice.
If you want to know what "rice" really is, check out this page..
www.*******page.com , I think he is the founding father of the term.

"to each of their own."... what is the big deal anyways, if you want to be rice, you should receive the term with open arms. After all, YOU are the one who riced your car out, I am sorry you feel the need to fall into that "category." It IS up to you to do that to your car, but expect postive/negative feedbacks from it.

to each his own? Then so be it. If someone hates it, let them hate it. If someone likes it, let them like it.

I hear it all the time; haters being hated for hating. Pot calling the kettle black. To each his own, in all respects. If you're going to defend freedom, defend it from all angles, even for those who tread.

Personally, leave the design to the designers. I don't like stickers, no matter what it says. But if you've got them, I'm allowed to laugh, and you're allowed to put more on.
