Hey Masiolli,

I have no trouble using a 'Dolphin' XH6451 USB<->serial adapter. Try the dolphinfast website, the FASTUSB-9103 looks a lot like the one I am using (with a COMPAQ Presario 1GHz AMD-Duron running XP).

I am pretty sure HydraEMS America does not recommend ANY USB<->serial converter because getting things to work is a bit of trial an error.

I am told a more successful option is a PCMCIA serial port.

I've had no problems, well problems at first but I figured it all out. Just make sure that you go into the device manager, properties of the serial to usb, and make sure it's on the same com port as the hydra, then slow it down a bunch and try it. Once it works speed it up until it fails, then you will know how fast the baud rate can be to get the best results.
