I got the Sabelt 3-point double-release harness from Primm (http://www.primmracing.com), and I was wondering if anybody else has used one in an Impreza. What's the best way to install it? I understand the rear belt can be attached to the back seat bolt, but what about the other two? They have those hook things on the ends and the ring bolts, but I was wondering where I should attach them. Anybody?

i had one in my GT and will be installing in my RS here pretty quick...

i used 1 eyebolt and attached the 2 side mounts to the seat rails...

remove covers (plastic) of seat rails...

on left - pull carpet back and clip mount in there... there's a loop/hole thingy in under the carpet.. it's not easy but it will clip on there...

on the right... - attach eye bolt - then mount right mount to the eye bolt...

when i re do this.. i will take pix...

hope this helps.

Got one in my WRX and helped my Dad put one in his Passat.

I can take some pics or you can come look at it.

Hey man. the harnesses aren't too bad are they?!http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Jamie has the right idea. you can do this if you have the coupe or the sedan. the "secret" mounting hole is for the factory seatbelt. if you have the coupe....
feel along the outside edge of the tub approx. 1-2 inches down from the edge and DIRECTLY across from the right sided seat rail.
PRESS IN on the carpet and you'll feel the indentation. that's the mounting hole to use if you have the coupe.
However, in the sedan, that hole is occupied by the OEM 3 point. and the coupe belt hole =is now free. so all you have to do is move the mounting place of the OEM belt back. and proceed. unless you actually feel like measuring and cutting out a hole in the carpet, just feel where the indent is and make an X cut in the carpet
Then take your eye bolt and screw it into the spot.
mount the other on the R frame rail and mount the back and you're good to go.
Some people put the rears@ the lower seatbelt mounts(yes they are off senter a little but it doesn't make much of a difference) others mount them on the nback deck. not sure how to do that.
andjust and prepare to enjoy a WHOLE new world of driving pleasurehttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gifhttp://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif
