I have an oil pressure gauge and a water temp gauge. How hard is it going to be to install both of these? how much time should I allow.. Recommendations on anything? Thanks!

I haven't done those yet, only a boost gauge so far. But since they both tap into fluid lines I'd assume a higher level of difficulty than a boost gauge.

My Defi boost gauge install took me 7 hours more or less. That includes the Control Unit which defnitely adds to the time and difficulty because it requires its own mounting and wiring. I'm an ex-mechanic and an ex-electronics tech, with a decent set of tools and equipment at my disposal.

To do the gauges you are talking about I'd probably set aside an entire weekend, plus I'd have another car around for the inevitable trip to the hardware/automotive store in the middle of the project.

I just barely put in my Oil Pressure gauge, and the stupid plug adapter that you need for the main Oil Galley is a pain in the a$$ to get in. My original plug took me 45 minutes to get out, I had to use the allen wrench, a combination wrench and a big ass screw driver to get it out. It's worth it in the end though.

7 hours for one gauge and control unit....that's not what I wanted to hear. I'll certainly keep that in mind when I go to do mine.

Oh, yeah, uhmm, well, I should have mentioned that I'm a bit of a perfectionist. That personality trait probably added an hour to the job all by itself :p

Haha, my megan racing boost took like 2 hours to get in the middle pod, wire, and install. Control unit = PITA... Anyway, thanks for all the input folks. Probably gunna do it this weekend :)

The Pain in the a$$ stuff is half the fun of doing it. ;) Get a buddy or two and some brews and have a good time. Don't let them touch the car though....

I have Autometer Guages Oil Press, Volt, and Water Temp... anyone know where I can find an additional water port for me to put in the sender that cam with my guages?...

I have 99 legacy 2.2L if that matters.. help me out boys... I wish I would have htought about the brews before I started at 9am this morning... 12 hours later :furious: ... I'm takign a break :D dont' be afraid though because I am a uber noob... but I knwo guys with tools and willingness to help me out :devil:
