Anyone have suggestions on what wax/polish to use to help bring out the metallic flakes in an mbp wrx?

I still want it to look wet with depth but I also want to make the flakes to come out more.

Thanks

Personally, I would use a product like Klasse All In One

It is a paint polish and restorer that has done wonders in every application I have seen. Follow that with a carnuba wax and then polish with a finishing wax and your car will shine like no other.

read at http://www.autopia.org/ for more info. I used to do a fairly basic wash and wax job but they have shown me the way to get your car to look perfect.

Gfunk has the right Idea but for more POP I use four star Ult. Paint protection over the AIO and my silver really pops after you get three layers of that on get your depth with a good nuba

Yeah, I am switching to Pinnacle Souverign or pretty soon. I usually will then finish up with some gold class or a variety of Meguiars #'s. I am looking for suggestions for some good wheel wax now and need to claybar soon.

My car is also WRB so I would imagine that the difference in tone and color is effected differently by various products. So far I am quite happy with the results I have gotten. If only I could get rid of these paint chips on my front end

Read www.autopia.org Has tonnes of good info. Really, read it.

The key to bringing out the shine on a MBP (or any color) is prepping the surface. This is usually:

1. wash
2. clay (can't emphasize enough how important this step is)
3. polish (this is what brings out the deep gloss and shine)
4. wax (good layer of protection for all the work you've done in the steps above, plus more depth)

Also, get yourself a PC7336 from Lowe's and suitable pads. They will work wonders.

MBP is a tough color. If you have rock chips or imperfections, they will show even more after you're done detailing the surface. It's a bitter sweet situation every time I detail my MBP WRX. Just did it again yesterday.

Oh, and I like Meguiar's pro line and 'some' of their off the shelf product.

Yea...i have some rock chips since my car was lowered on eibachs...

Gonna wash it, clay then use meguairs 2nd step polish, then nxt then megs #26.

Gonna use megs #26 for the first time.

How does everyone apply their wax/polish, side to side or circles? I've been reading soo many different methods.

Actually gonna have it detailed in a couple weeks from a member on autopia.org

Kinda want my car clean before he sees it though...lol

Both the NXT and #26 are good for how much they cost.

I prefer back and forth motion rather than circles. I noticed less swirl mark this way.
