Where is the high beam wire on the STI?

I looked for a blue constant and a solid red as suggested in a few threads I got after a search but I can not find a solid red wired anywhere .

Right now I have
30 to fused battery
87 to lights driving lights
85 ground
86 switched constant 12volt source

Right now they work with just the switch which is a pain b/c if you get an on coming car you have to turn off high beams then reach down and turn off the driving lights.

I would like to have them switch on and off with the HIGH beams but still be albe to have a switch to either have them come on and off with the high beams or not have then on at all.

Please don't post vague thread titles.

Noone has any ideas? I see these all the time in the Ultimate Aux Lighting thread.

I just want driving light to be triggerd by the high beams and also have them switched somw where so when I don't wnat the to come on with high beams I have that option.

You don't make much sense. Are you trying to run foglights? You want them on with the low beams like stock? You want them on with the high beams only? 87 is run to "lights"? Which lights? Fog lights? You keep saying "drivers" but the STi doesn't have daytime driving lights, which is the only thing I can come up with when I try to translate your webberish. Take a deep breath and type out what you want to work and how you want it to work. Make a list.

If I'm guessing correctly you want a switch to turn on foglights and it'll only do so if the low-beams are on. If that is the case, the relay should have +12v fused at the battery run to 30. Then 87 runs to the fog lights.(30 and 87 are reversable in this case and function is the same) 86 to ground and 85 to that switch. (85 and 86 are also reversable) That switch should then be powered from the headlight switch. + 12v when the lowbeams are on.

But I really don't understand what you are asking.

i understand he wants them to come on with the high beams, so there for probably driving lights.

well if you want them to ALWAYS come on with the high beams, ie eliminate switch then you need to wire 86 to the high beam power. so that when ever the high beams are on then the relay has power from "the switch".

okay i just read the posts again and i am confused now.....:huh:

the reason they are always on is because the switch is powered by a constant 12V. the switch is supposed to be powered by what you want to use it for. for example my optilux 1100's are powered by the mirror controller (the switch is mounted near it) so therefor i can use it whenever the car is on. if i power the switch with the parking lamps (i had my piaa 520's installed that way) they would come on only when the parking lamps are on.

I have:
Hella 500 DRIVING Lights

Purposed system:
Triggered to come on and off with High Beams
Switch to choose when they come on and off with high beams.

Relay:
30 is fused battery power
87 goes to hella lamps
85 ????
86 ????

One is the high beam trigger
The other must be power

Now what I am asking is what wire goes to ground when the high beams aer on and where is a good plce to pick up power?

85 to the switch.

then the switch should be:
load = 85 on the relay
power = high beam wire
earth = well ground

I'm guessing there is a ground tab on the switch. (As well as a 12v tab which runs to the switched high beam +12v, and there is an accessory tab that'll send the 12v to activate the relay. (85 on the relay).) That ground is only there to illuminate the switch internally when it is flipped to the on position. There is a bulb or LED between the ground and acc inside the switch. It's not crucial but it is nice.

87 and 30 then make the connection through for the fused constant 12volts and the Hella lights when the relay is activated.
