with the front lip on stock STi, 7 inch from the ground with stock suspension. and for the paint, we dont paint the kit so im not sure if it needs to be primed and then spayed... :(

if you get the hole concelment piece from c-west, it will cover the leftover holes from the STi splitter. if not, it wont...

it's ONE OR THE OTHER. you either get the concealment or you get the canards. its like getting an intercooler, you either get a top mount or a front mount.if you conceal the holes, then you'll have to make new ones :P

ok, to install canards on STi, you will have to take off your STi splitter pieces and you will see holes from STi splitters right. you can just put them on with holes on your bumper, or you can get a hole concelment pieces from c-west to cover the holes from STi splitters. are you coming to tuesday meet? if so, i can bring both hole concelment and canards if you want.

oo....ok!!! thanks...i get it now...no but i go to the life plaza meets on thursdays in rowland heights...anyways, i wanted to put the canards onto the JDM front lip, which covers the holes behind the splitters, which is why i was asking about how they mount...

oh yeah if you have the jdm lip and it covers the holes, you dont need to get a hole concelment piece. if you want, i can bring the canards to the meet. just let me know.

from looking at the pictures some more, i think that the canards will stick out a bit too much for the JDM lip...it matches the cwest lip nicely tho...thanks again for u help shuji...

Hello this is Daniel from C-West USA. The Canard for the kouki is only for the OEM front bumper and requires the use of the hole concealment for the STi. You do not choose one or the other as stated above. For the STi you must use both pieces. For the WRX the hole concealment is not necessary. For Further questions please send email to info@c-westusa.com

The front lip has a black gel coat so just primer and paint.

isnt fiberglass beter than urethane?
Urethane is typically more durable than fiberglass. The only problem with urethane is that it is heavier and that it tends to warp at higher speed. Something like a front lip takes a lot of abuse especially in Daily driving.
