Where can I get an engine removal manual?
I have the basic service manual for the 2003 WRX but I can't find a section on engine removal and install.
I have the thing about 3/4 removed but would sure like advice on the fuel lines and the AC system.
I am most concerned about remembering how to hook everything back up, I have been taking pictures but I am still concerned.
Anyone know where these can be found/purchased?

If you don't find a manual from other sources, you can buy a 3 day "download" license from subaru here for $35:

I think those are the standard Service PDF manuals that I already have.
But looking through the contents I don't see a section for engine removal or installation.... and somewhere I heard that there was a manual on that....

try looking at each section.. Leave the AC hooked up just lay the compressor etc on the fender till the new block is in. fuel lines should be pretty obvious if you've gotten this far.

You should be able to find very detailed schematics on techinfo -- they don't just have the service manuals, they have lots of other stuff. I have never looked through for engine material, but when I need information on the 4EAT, I got pages and pages of technical schematics on the inner workings of the WRX 4EAT -- definitely not service manual stuff. But... if it's there it should show up on a search. Make sure you are not limiting your search to only "service manuals" (which is a search option).

Thanks for the help guys, well I have really looked at the available literature on the tech site and just don't see anything for engine removal or installation...
It seems to me that the subaru techs would have a guide for this....
