View Full Version : What are they getting at w/ the proposed language on intakes in the new Fastrack? This was lost during a re-write of the rule (which did not go out for member comment) in '04. This new wording continues to allow intake plumbing replacements but restricts FI hardware replacements (i.e. Mass Air Sensors, MOAD's, AFM's, EGR spacers, etc.). There's been a fair amount of discussion on this in the SCCA forums... DrBiggly 06-17-2005, 12:28 PM Where's the link to the new Fastrack? typer_801 06-17-2005, 12:44 PM Still a noob, can't post URL's.... On the SCCA website under "SCCA Garage" - includes current and all back issues BIGSKYWRX 06-17-2005, 08:50 PM Folks with oil starvation problems requested oil starvation solutions - think Celica, BMW E30 M3's, etc. Intake wording was proposed to fix a couple of loopholes and address new technologies (i.e. Valvetronic from BMW which has no t-body) as well as preserve the intent of the original intake rule which was to support the installation of Cold Air intakes. I'll email them w/ my thoughts- hopefully tranny mounts and steering rack bushings will be on the "list" for next year :) |
