First time out, I'm not sure but I don't think I did good? http://www.iwsti.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif

All I know is I ran a 8.94, and a 9.23. I ran a third time, it felt worse but never got the time. This was a midnight open track session so I have no slips, 60ft, RT, etc.

Anyways I launched at 4200 rpm or so, and shifted to 2nd at about 6500 on my best run.

I am at 500 ft above sea level, and the temp was 69-73, somewhat muggy.

Just curious if this is a good run, because I want to go to 1/4 mi. but not until I know I have the beginning right.

Oh one more thing, do your cars fog up on the inside while your in line waiting to run? Mine did and I had to run defrost with AC ON to get it clear. I was very mad, my buddy's Stang had no issues with that? I had same prob with my 2002 WRX also.

Please give feedback. Again Stock 05 STI, just the SSR GT7 18's.

Just to clarify, I pretty much want your best time in the "1/8TH MILE" with a "STOCK STI". Anyone run the 1/8th or 1/4 before mods and have a slip to refer to.

My best stock time was a 9.0@78mph (14.1 in the 1/4) but this was on a slow track and with a crappy 2.0 60 ft time.
Your times are right for newbeees like us :)

Thats all I run is the 1/8th mile stock I ran an 8.5, 8.6, and an 8.7. With tbe, frontmount, UTEC I ran 8.3. With my S/R55 untuned I went 8.1 with 9lbs of boost.

We're you running in Savannah by chance?
They have a Friday night "Import vs Domestic" 1/8thmile track
15 bucks to race and no limitations.
It takes a while to get used to the way a suby launches it tends to lurch or sometimes you underpower it so you get this sluggish creep off the line. Took me awhile to figure out what RPM to launch at and where to set the DCCD I got the best time four arrows down launching at 4000 RPM. Stomped a VR-4 that night and bunch of those dime a dozen SRT-4's about twelve of them there that night just sickening. Best part was this 99 R/T was there and stomped all the SRT-4's that ran against him.

Yeah, that would be me, took me three passes to get the launch down finally, and it ran 8.5s........the injen may have made a difference, but I doubt it....it's more for sound/looks anyway......

and I wanna see this timeslip for a 8.2 @ 83 from a stock 05......that's hard to beleive w/o seeing it...
