View Full Version : Giving Lancaster Subaru/Mazda another try...

Recently the lot came under new ownership and management. Turns out Lygriek, a board member, is now fleet manager/internet sales manager. The owner wants to start hosting events and stuff like this to turn the lot's image around as he was very aware of the negative image that the dealership has. A friend of mine is set to get a new car, a Mazda, but it's the same lot... however we'll see how his experience is. I'll be keeping my eye on it and let you all know how it works out. So far it looks good and they're working on aftermarket support in both the service department and on site sales.

**GULP**

No pressure huh?

Firedog25, I'll be waiting to here from your friend, make sure he contacts me and mentions your name. I don't want to mess this up. ;)

Still getting used to the new place, finding the holes in the system so to speak. But I can promise you that I will be busting my butt to make things better here.

you guys will have a lot of image work to do....

I tried to buy my San Remo Red WRX from Lancaster back in March of 2004, they treated me like total crap, wasted about two hours of my life, and insulted me pretty good.....I purchased my car elsewhere after that night...

That said, good luck, I hope you turn it around, it would be great having a good dealership 30 minutes from my house, cause the one in Harrisburg sucks also....

+1 for mmorningstar's comments. Lancaster Subaru has a long way to go before I'd ever step foot on that place again. First order of business is to fire the numbers guy with the tattoos on his arm.

I tried to purchase a 2005 WRX back in September of 04 and just like mmorningstar they completely jerked me around for hours and completely insulted my wife and I. After hours we finally walked out and picked up my new wrex the very next morning down in Van Nuys. Good luck to you guys.....my advice, fire everyone who currently works there and start from scratch.

p.s. good luck Lygriek...hopefully you can salvage something out of that place.

Well, most everyone that was here then has been "relocated" Marc Harrisson the General Sales Manager, a good friend of mine, took over in late September of 2004. Since then he has been trying really hard to get things straight with much success, but I don't care how good a dealer seems to be, there will still be the ocasional "Bad Experience". Lets face it, buying a car, the old fashioned way, is a very dynamic and emotional event for both sides of the "negotiation", you want the best deal possible and the dealer wants to make the most money possible. Most sales people are weak and don't last in the bussiness more than a year, it takes a certain kind of person to be able to make a good living and have happy customers.

Best way to buy a car, communicate your wants a needs, have a budget in mind, and do your research. If you keep a level head, and have resonable expectations, you should be able to get your deal, unless the dealer doesn't want to sell the car at the price you are asking, it is their choice to sell or not to sell at any given price. If they won't-can't meet your expectations or even get close to them, then leave. There are many dealers out there, try a different one. Which is what you did, and got you deal, correct? Better yet... buy from someone like me, Fleet-Internet Sales. We usually take care of our one paperwork and all, no getting handed off to get worked again by a finance person. You get up front "Discount Pricing" and very little pressure (there is always some).

Boy, I sure typed a lot, sorry.

Anyway, I am here during the week Monday-Friday, until like 6pm usually, and may be changing my schedule to Tues- Sat, but feel free to stop by and say hey, my desk is in the Subaru Showroom, and I am a car nut.
